Some ‘traditional’ fund raising!

The annual Lymmvale tench ‘fish-in’ takes place again this year on 26th and 27th April. As usual, it will be a fund raising event, with this years proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support. As well as the usual donations from participants and non-participants alike, we are pleased to announce that some lovely people have donated some of their own handiwork in the form of beautifully crafted, handmade, traditional floats, which we hope to auction in order to boost the charity fund.

Donations of these traditional floats have been made by:

Ian Lewis – view his website http://www.handmadef…ngfloats.co.uk/

Roy Sell – view his website http://www.bensonmallard.co.uk

Stuart Broughton – view his website http://fenlandsfinestfloats.co.uk/

and Richard Bentall – view his eBay page http://www.ebay.co.u…=p2047675.l2562

A HUGE thank you guys, it’s very much appreciated!

To go with the floats, there will also be the chance to win at auction, some delightfully hand-crafted, traditional style float boxes. These are still currently going through their design and artwork stages, but an early stage sample can be seen here…..

Remember, you don’t have to be a participant in the fish-in itself to make a donation to this incredibly worthy cause. There can’t be many people who don’t know someone whose lives have been touched in some way by this terrible illness, so, no matter the amount, visit http://www.justgiving.com/Phil-Hatton3 to donate something towards Macmillan Cancer Support, every donation will be greatly appreciated.
